Consult

Write the prescription, and the visit finishes itself

Your templates, your drug sets, the patient’s history already open — and one signature that closes the consult and sends the patient to the counter.

Writing

Faster on the second visit than on paper

  • Templates for the conditions you see all day — pick one and adjust.
  • Favourite drug sets, with your usual dose, frequency and duration already filled.
  • Carry the last visit forward and change what needs changing.
  • A drug list that learns what your clinic actually prescribes.

The visit

Vitals, notes, diagnosis and investigations

  • Height, weight, BP, pulse, temperature and SpO₂ — typed once, charted over time.
  • Complaint, examination notes and diagnosis kept with the visit, not on a loose sheet.
  • Investigations advised, and the results filed against the same patient when they come back.
  • Everything is timestamped and attributed, so the record holds up months later.

Signing and sharing

Your letterhead, your signature, their phone

  • Clinic name, address and your registration number on every prescription.
  • Your signature applied when you finalise — not a rubber stamp anyone can apply.
  • Print it, or send it on WhatsApp with a get-well note, to patients who agreed to be contacted.
  • Once signed, a prescription is not quietly editable; a correction is a new version with a trail.

History

Six months later, the answer is on the screen

What was given, what worked, what the patient reacted to — without asking them to remember.

Every past visit

Complaint, diagnosis, prescription and bill, in order.

Allergies front and centre

Recorded once and shown on every later visit.

Trends

Weight, BP and sugar over time, rather than three loose readings.

Software, not a clinician

A prescription is issued by the registered medical practitioner who signs it. Sqavio Doctor records, formats, stores and delivers it — it does not diagnose, suggest or decide. If you consult remotely, the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines apply to you as the doctor. Our medical disclaimer says this in full.

Questions

What doctors ask

Will this be slower than my prescription pad?

For a first visit, about the same. For a repeat visit it is faster: the last prescription is carried forward, so you edit rather than rewrite. Templates and favourite drug sets mean the medicines you actually use are one tap away.

Can I still print on my own letterhead?

Yes. The prescription carries your clinic name, address, registration number and signature, and prints on plain paper — or on your pre-printed letterhead with the header switched off.

Does the software decide the medicine?

No, and it never will. Sqavio Doctor is a record-keeping tool. Every clinical decision, and the prescription itself, is yours as the registered practitioner.

What happens after I sign?

Signing ends the consult. The visit moves to the counter with the bill ready, and the patient gets their prescription if they agreed to be messaged.
