In short
Today we set only strictly necessary cookies — the ones that keep you signed in and keep the sign-in secure. We run no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics on this website.
The banner still asks about the other categories, and we record your answer, so that if we ever add anything we already have your instruction and will honour it. Change it any time from cookie preferences.
1.What a cookie is here
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. We also use your browser’s local storage for a couple of preferences, and although that is technically not a cookie we treat it the same way in this policy, because the effect on you is the same.
2.The four categories
- Strictly necessary — without these the site cannot do what you asked. Signing in, keeping a session secure, remembering your consent answer. These do not require consent, and cannot be switched off.
- Functional — remembers a preference, such as light or dark mode.
- Analytics — counts which pages get read, in aggregate, to show us what to improve.
- Marketing — would tell us which campaign brought a visitor here.
We currently use only the first category, plus one functional item described below. There are no analytics or marketing cookies on this site today. If that changes, this page changes first and your recorded choice is applied.
3.Everything we set today
| Name | Category | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| sq_at | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in to the clinic software. HTTP-only, so scripts cannot read it. | Short-lived; refreshed while you work |
| sq_rt | Strictly necessary | Lets your session be renewed without asking for your password again. HTTP-only. | Until you sign out or it expires |
| sq_admin_at, sq_admin_rt | Strictly necessary | The same, for a platform administrator session. | Session |
| sqavio.consent.v1 | Strictly necessary | Stores your cookie choice, with the policy version and the time you gave it. Local storage. | Until you change it or clear your browser |
| sq-theme | Functional | Remembers whether you chose light, dark or system appearance. Local storage. | Until you change it or clear your browser |
Nothing in this list follows you to another website, and none of it is shared with an advertising network.
4.Third parties
We do not embed third-party trackers on this website. Fonts are served from our own servers rather than from a font CDN, specifically so that reading a page does not tell anyone else you were here.
When a patient pays online, the payment happens on Razorpay’s or Cashfree’s own page, and their cookie policies apply there. They are listed on our sub-processors page.
5.Your choice, and changing it
The banner offers “Accept all” and “Reject all” with the same prominence, and nothing optional is pre-ticked. Rejecting everything optional leaves the site fully usable, because nothing optional is required to read it or to sign in.
To change your mind, use the cookie preferences link in the footer of every page. Withdrawal is exactly as easy as consent was — that is the rule and it is also the point.
Your browser can also block or delete cookies. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop you being able to sign in, which is a browser choice we cannot work around.
6.Changes
If we add a cookie, this page is updated with it before the cookie is set, and a new consent version is published so the banner asks again rather than relying on an answer you gave to a different question.
