Medical Disclaimer

Sqavio Doctor is clinic management software: appointments and a queue, patient records, a prescription written and signed by a doctor, billing, and messages to patients about their own visit.

Everything it holds was put there by the clinic. It is a better filing cabinet, not a colleague.

• It does not diagnose, and it does not suggest a diagnosis.
• It does not choose, recommend or check a medicine, a dose or a duration. A drug list or a saved favourite is the clinic’s own text, repeated back.
• It does not check interactions, allergies or contraindications, and it must not be relied on to catch a mistake.
• It does not triage, prioritise clinically, or decide who is urgent.
• It is not a medical device and carries no regulatory clearance as one.
• It does not replace clinical judgement, examination, or the practitioner’s own reading of a record.

If we ever add a feature that does any of these things, it will be labelled as such, in the product and here, before it is switched on.

A prescription is a professional act of the registered medical practitioner who signs it. That practitioner is responsible for its content, its correctness, and for the care it forms part of.

The clinic is responsible for who has a login, for what is entered, for obtaining patient consent, and for holding the registrations that let it practise. SQABY Technologies provides the software.

If you consult a patient remotely, the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines apply to you as the doctor, including when a remote consultation is appropriate and what may be prescribed. The software does not enforce those rules and cannot know when they are met.

Nothing on this website or in a message sent through Sqavio is medical advice. A prescription or a note you receive came from your doctor, and questions about it belong to your doctor, not to us.

In an emergency, do not use software. Call your nearest hospital or emergency service.

For questions about your records, contact the clinic that treated you. The patient privacy notice explains your rights and how to use them.

We take care that what is entered is what is stored, shown and printed. But we cannot know that a dose, a phone number or a name was typed correctly, and we do not check clinical content.

Check a prescription before you sign it. The signature is the point at which it becomes yours, and the product deliberately makes that a distinct, deliberate act.

This disclaimer forms part of the Terms of Service, including the limitation of liability there. Nothing in it excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
